Renovation work in Saint-Gervais
A spa town with an older housing stock: apartments in period buildings, family houses, and the maintenance they need to stay usable.
Saint-Gervais grew around its baths, and part of its housing dates from that period: thick walls, small windows, gravity heating, and networks that have been added to over decades. Renovating these properties means working with what is there rather than replacing it wholesale.
We work on apartments in the centre, houses on the slopes and small co-ownerships, with the same constraint as everywhere in the valley: the work has to be finished before the winter, and the building has to remain usable while it is being done.
Buildings from the spa period
Part of the housing in Saint-Gervais dates from the years when the town lived from its baths: thick walls, high ceilings, small windows, and services that were added later, often in the thickness of the floor.
These buildings renovate well when the structure is respected. The work is in the detail: insulating without sealing the wall, replacing a bathroom without moving the stack, and finding the space for ventilation where there was none.
Small co-ownerships
A building with eight or ten lots is a normal contract for us: common areas, small repairs, seasonal checks, and a written checklist rather than a list of verbal promises.
It is also where a maintenance contract pays for itself. A blocked gutter found in October costs an hour; the same gutter in January costs a façade and a ceiling.

Questions
Frequently asked — Saint-Gervais-les-Bains
Can you renovate a flat in an old building without touching the structure?
In most cases yes: the plan is reorganised with lightweight partitions, networks are rerouted in the thickness of the floor or the walls, and the existing structure is left alone. Openings in load-bearing walls need a structural study and are treated separately.
Do you take on maintenance for a single building?
Yes. A small co-ownership with eight or ten lots is a normal contract for us: cleaning of common areas, small repairs, seasonal checks. The scope is written and reviewed once a year.
Do you take on a single building?
Yes. The scope is written, reviewed once a year, and priced monthly or per intervention. There is no minimum portfolio: one building is enough.
